The Authentic Light from Within

Hello Dear One,

What a powerful and heartfelt time we had this past Sunday delving into The Audacity of Authenticity! You can listen to the recording right here and check out all of our recordings on our podcast right here. In my talk, I shared some powerful resources and wanted to link to them here:

This is the book that lays out the 10 guideposts for wholehearted living and loving. I highly recommend it! I finished it over three weeks by reading a little with my bowl of cereal each morning. It's short, powerful, and packed with practical tools you can use in your every day life so that you can let go of who you think you're supposed to be and embrace who you are. Yes please!

This is the women's retreat I talked about. It is by far the absolute best retreat I have ever attended. Every time I've attended, I've experienced deep and profound healing and transformation. The next one is in April 2020 in northern California and in 2021 they are bringing it to the Pacific Northwest in the Seattle area!

For those that were present and participated in the Q&A (this happens live after my talk but isn't included in the recording), I also shared a quote from The Queen of Katwe, a powerful film about a Ugandan girl’s amazing talent for chess:

"Sometimes the place you're used to is not the place you belong."

Watch the scene with this quote right here.

I also want to remind you (and me!) that your authentic expression is Divine Intelligence unfolding as you - the perfect channel of Divine Expression. This is important to remember because authenticity calls us to our growing edge and asks us to venture outside of our comfort zone and into the creativity of the unknown.

Yeah, that can be daunting! But, when we are lit from within, there is always light to guide our path no matter how dark it might get. The thing is...practicing authenticity requires risk and vulnerability, which most of us like to avoid. In order to avoid our own authentic impulses to grow in new directions, we numb.

Dr. Brene Brown teaches us that "when we numb the dark, we numb the light." Darn it! Wouldn't it be handy if we could just numb the fear and uncomfortable stuff?! This coming Sunday we are going to shine the light of compassion, hope and awareness into the numb so that we can awaken to our heart's calling and access the Inner Light of Spirit to move us into wholehearted living.

Yes! I'm excited to continue this journey with you and I hope you will join me too. See you Sunday!

Much Love,

Cassandra
