About the Event

CSL White Rock is celebrating Summer Solstice and National Aboriginal Day in Canada on Tuesday, June 21st at Blackie Spit in Crescent Beach at 6:30 PM. It will be an interactive gathering with music, chanting, and a setting of intentions for the next six months. Bring a beach chair or blanket as we will be getting together on the sand. Did you know that the sun reaches its most northernmost point in 2022 on June 21st marking the first day of summer and the longest day of the year? The term ‘solstice’ comes from Latin and means a stop in the sun’s movement. In addition, June 21st is an opportunity to learn more about Indigenous peoples including Inuit, Métis, and First Nations peoples.
