Freedom is intimately bound to responsibility. There can be no freedom without a shared responsibility for one another and for ourselves. Freedom is dependent upon the basic human rights of each person to live with dignity and respect. Forgiveness allows us to move beyond the chains that have bound us and live in a way that cultivates freedom for all.
